My name is Erika Alejandra Crespo
Martínez and I am a senior student of the University of Puerto Rico, Rio
Piedras Campus. I am a 21-year-old female born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
The place I call home is my house in Aguada, Puerto Rico, where my
parents live with my little and only brother Francisco. My biggest fear
are animals in general and even though I am totally against animal abuse, I try
not to get myself too near to them. The characteristic that makes me stand out
the most is my laugh. I believe that laughing cures all problems and that's the
reason why I try to be a smiling and sympathetic person all the time. In
what concerns my academic, social and personal life, dedication and
perseverance are what I would call my biggest strengths. At the same time,
the fact that I want everything to be done the right way makes me a stressful
person, most of the time. Being so rushed is what I categorize as
my worst weakness because it has leaded me to miss from important little
details that happen around me. Music is,
by far, my biggest obsession. I am not a
singer, nor I play any instrument, though I wanted to play piano as a little
kid, but I live in a never-ending concert. The song that I most identify with is I lived by OneRepublic.
Hello Erika! The first thing I have to say is that I think it is very interesting that living in Aguada, you are studying in San Juan, because I know it is a little far. Anyways, I think you made good choice, because la "UPI" is one of the best universities in Puerto Rico. Also, I am surprised about the amount of places you have visited. I like how you talked about your trip to Washington, D.C. and how you think it changed you as a human being. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great trip, Erika. Washington, DC is amazing! I could spend many trips there just looking at the museums. I like how you tied your trip to an inner journey.
ReplyDeleteHi Erika! I loved your story! First, I found so funny how you say you stay away from animals. I do the same with cats. No offense to the cat lovers! Like you, I sometimes think I live in a never ending concert and love music. I had never heard that song by OneRepublic and I will now download it. Haha. As far as your trip, I'm dying to go to DC. I've never been and there and have always wanted to go. Same as the Professor, I liked how you made two journeys and learned so much of it in various ways. :)
ReplyDeleteHi. On my school they did the same trip but I missed it. I would have never imagine that it could have been so much fun. When you said that you try to stay away from animals, I do the same... I love dogs but every other animal on this planet I could say that I respect them or that I try to keep a little bit of distance from them. jeje I do research at UPR and sometimes I have to rub mouses (so that they lose the fear from humans)... You can trust me that those are some of the moments more stressful in my entire life. jajaja
ReplyDeleteHi!! First I have to say that you show up a lot the personality you describe above and it's nice :) Second, I loved the song in your post! I heard it while I was reading your blog and I enjoyed it a lot. I've also been in Washington D.C. a couple of times since my sister lives near there and I experience it like the first time every time I go because I like it a lot too. Also, I identify with you because I tend to be a stressful person sometimes... I think you'll be handling well your stress as long as you don't stop laughing and not changing that special personality :)
