During my life I've traveled to different places. The most
accurate approach of a list of all of them is here:
• Florida
• Saint Martin
• Antigua
• Isla de Margarita
• Saint Thomas
• Barbados
• Aruba
• Cayman Islands
• Cozumel, Mexico
• Roatan Island
• Bahamas
• Grand Turks
• New York
• New Jersey
• Washington, Virginia
• Pennsylvania
• Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Of all the
places I’ve been to I personally choose Washington, D.C. as one of the top
three places to highlight. I went there when I was 15 years old in a
class Close Up trip. It was the first and
only time that I have traveled all by myself (not with my parents) and I was a
little nervous about it. Since the moment we arrived to the airport I
felt like a part of me was breaking free. The climate, the people, the
emotions, all of it made me feel like I was finally growing up and becoming an
individual with a distinct personality. I made a lot of new friends whom
I had to show who I was and that led me to discover things of me I didn’t
know. Every time I see pictures of those younger than me in the preparatives to this trip I literally feel like crying. This trip marked a stage in my life that meant a whole new beginning, a complete new self. I recommend that, however possible, everyone should be able to have an experience like this, specially at such a young age because it builds up a part of a human being that I personally cannot describe but at the same time cannot imagine myself without it. In addition to the great social enrichment and discovery it
represented, this trip had been my most educative and learning traveling I’ve
had.
It must had been a wonderful experience! I've also been in Washintong D.C. several times and love it too ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, you have travel a lot of places! That is amazing. I wish to do the same at some point in my life. Specially visiting many states in an RV. Also, as you said, I wish to have many trips but also gaining knowledge from the places I visit, because I want to be a traveler on all the journeys I may have.
ReplyDeleteLik you, I also traveled alone, but like three times. I agree with you that first it is kind of hard being in other country without our parents, but it is an amazing experience to grow up and to be more independent.
